Michael Llorente is a Partner of LSN Partners, LLC and LSN Law, PA. With nearly two decades of experience in law and government, Michael counsels real estate developers, infrastructure companies, contractors, engineering firms, and other private entities in all aspects of government contracting and procurement. Michael has handled complex procurement disputes and bid protests in numerous state and local jurisdictions.

Michael has worked on hundreds of government contracts with an aggregate value of several billion dollars. He approaches each matter with passion and commitment, whether he is representing a local vendor on a small government contract or a multinational company on a large government pursuit.

Michael is also a skilled and experienced government affairs strategist who offers advice on land use, legislation, regulatory compliance, and public affairs. Michael has an intimate understanding of the laws and procedures governing public agencies, having served for six (6) years as general counsel to an independent special district created under Chapter 189 of the Florida Statutes and having served on the City of Miami Charter Review Committee.

Prior to joining LSN in 2014, Michael served as chief-of-staff to then-City of Miami Commissioner Francis Suarez. During his tenure, Michael actively participated in key policy initiatives, including affordable housing legislation, public-private partnerships, and regional transportation initiatives.

Before moving into the public sector, Michael practiced law at one of Florida’s oldest and most prestigious law firms, focusing on complex commercial litigation and regulatory compliance. Michael also spent several years teaching middle school English and language arts, an experience he found personally rewarding and immensely valuable in his future career as an advocate and attorney.

Michael received his bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University in 2001, where he graduated cum laude and completed the Honors Thesis Program for Literature. He received his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 2007, where he graduated cum laude and served as a student attorney in the Children and Family Justice Center.
