(formerly Llorente & Heckler, PA), Adele provides counsel on navigating all aspects of local governmental law, including procurement, lease negotiations, bid protests, and code compliance. Adele brings a wealth of knowledge and invaluable advocacy, legislative, and management experience. Mrs. Valencia is also a Partner at LSN Partners, LLC, a Miami-based government consulting firm. Before joining LSN Law, Adele was the Director of Code Compliance for the City of Miami where she led a department dedicated to promoting the life, health, safety, and general well-being of residents, visitors, and businesses in the city. Under her leadership, the department implemented new standard operating procedures and led legislative initiatives to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and transparency.
Adele spent four years serving in the office of Mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava when she was a Miami-Dade County Commissioner (the years just prior to her becoming Mayor). While there, she led legislative initiatives focused on equal pay, open data, small business promotion, and naturalization services.
Before entering the government arena, Mrs. Valencia practiced criminal law in the private sector; she represented clients on federal, criminal, and complex civil matters.
Adele received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from the University of Miami. She is a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the National Association of Women Lawyers, and the League of Women Voters. Adele serves on the Board of the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade and the Board of Seraphic Fire. Adele is a Miami Fellow (Class VIII), an avid reader, wife, and mother of two incredible girls.
She is licensed to practice law in California, Florida, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
