Joshua Freeman, Associate at LSN Law, P.A. (formerly L&H), provides advocacy and assistance to clients in Broward County. With a significant amount of government familiarity, Joshua guides clients through all areas of the Broward County procurement process.
Joshua brings a wealth of experience to LSN Law, P.A., having served most recently as the Chief of Staff to Broward County Mayor Steve Geller, where he was responsible for overseeing a broad swath of policy and budgetary issues. Joshua helped the Mayor fulfill his promise to make Broward County a leader in job creation through initiatives such as the Nova Innovation Center, the Marine Research Hub, and an apprenticeship program to reinvigorate interest in skilled trades.
Joshua also held the Director of Communications position for the Broward Teachers Union, where he oversaw all public communications and messaging strategies relating to salary negotiations. He spearheaded one of their most successful negotiation efforts in decades, which resulted in the Broward County School Board granting additional raises to teachers. In addition, earlier in his career, as Chief of Staff to Florida State Senator Maria Sachs, Joshua navigated the passage of the White-Mickell Act. This Act created necessary safety standards for parasailing operators and had been filed but unsuccessful in six consecutive legislative sessions prior.
Joshua is a Plantation, Florida native. He received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Political Science from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. He currently resides in Plantation with his wife, Brittany, and their two children, Ari and Liv. Joshua enjoys rooting for Michigan sports, trying new restaurants, and playing poker. Josh is not a member of the Florida Bar.
