Changes Proposed to Banyan Bay Marine Center
Changes may be coming to Banyan Bay Marine Center in Dania Beach, Florida. The eight-acre Banyan Bay Marine Center on Ravenswood has a 2.5-acre basin and offers in-water and dry-stack vessel storage. They are located about 3.5 miles up the Dania Cutoff canal, and close to popular area restaurant The Rustic Inn. The marina is reportedly for sale.
LSN Law, the firm representing Constellation Operating Company, sent area residents a notice about its proposed changes on Dec. 12, 2024. The notice stated that the company proposes to improve the site by adding two warehouse buildings and filling in the marina.
The notice read: “Constellation intends to improve the Property with two (2) warehouse buildings, totaling 169,286 square feet (the “Project”). As part of the proposal, the existing marina will be filled in to accommodate the construction of the warehouse buildings on the eastern portion of the Property. On the western side, a lake will be excavated and surrounded by landscaping, providing a natural buffer between the warehouse buildings and the residential neighborhoods to the west. In addition, an 8-foot masonry wall will be built along the western property line to maximize privacy and reduce noise for neighboring residents.”
According to the notice, Constellation has submitted a Site Plan application and Plat Delegation application to the City of Dania Beach.
LSN Law hosted a community meeting on Jan. 13. Participants were invited to listen to a presentation on the proposal and ask questions. The notice included a LSN Law contact. Send your comments to Tracy Slavens at tslavens@lsnlaw.com
