New Partner Announcement – Congratulations Diana C. Mendez

We are pleased to announce that Diana C. Mendez has been elevated to Partner at Llorente & Heckler, P.A. Mrs. Mendez has been with the firm for about seven years, during which time she was an Associate, and later promoted to a Senior Associate.

Diana brings her extensive expertise and experience in counseling clients through all phases of the government procurement process, including advising and representing clients with teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, responsiveness and responsibility review, minority and disadvantaged business enterprise certifications, contract negotiations, and bid protest litigation.

In 2018, Ms. Mendez was recognized as a Florida Rising Star by SuperLawyers. The Rising Stars list is compiled by Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Before joining Llorente & Heckler, P.A., Diana served as an attorney-advisor for the U.S. Small Business Administration in Herndon, Virginia, where she was responsible for advising the federal agency regarding loan purchases and liquidation of guaranty loans and interpreting SBA regulations for franchise operations, creditor and debtor rights, bankruptcy, and secured transactions.

Diana received her B.A. in Economics and International Relations, magna cum laude, in 2006 from Florida International University. In 2010, she received a J.D., cum laude, from the American University, Washington College of Law, and an M.A. in International Affairs from American University’s School of International Service.
